Day 5

So my nutrition plan continues...and i havent seen any change in weight. none. greeeat. tomorrow is my follow up appointment to get my test results back so hopefully something will show up (well thats a bad way to look at it but i wish i could figure out whats going on) just ate stuffed avocados again for lunch, and had eggs for breakfast. its nice with its repetativeness... the weekends are the only hard part. off to yoga...

Here we go again

Getting back to writing and trying to keep my motivation up. Started a new program today after meeting with nutritionist Maria Emmerich (follow her blog at http://mariahealth.blogspot.com/) She set me up with a low carb, high protein and higher fat diet with many supplements. I am on day two of the program, and so far so good. The only downfall...food is expensive! and so are supplements. But I just have to keep my motivation up, and know that being healthy and happy with my body is more important than drinking and eating like crap. Right? ha. we'll see anyway...
So yesterday I started with 2 eggs scrambled, had a snack of celery and pb, lunch of these AMAZING seafood stuffed avocados, followed by a dinner of salmon with shiritake noodles and a small side salad. I slipped up and had 1.5 triscuits before realizing that i couldnt eat them. :xseafood stuffed avocados...yum!

brief

ok. so i dont really have much to say. i'm 124 at the dr (where i spent 4 hrs last week to get tests done to see why im gaining so much weight) and 126 on my scale and then some days 130. its crazy. i think my scale is insane and has a mind of its own. it only cost 3 dollars at target... if that tells you anything.

am also meeting with a nutritionist today to see if there is anything else i can do.

Seriously!?

Yesterday I weighed myself and i had gained 6 lbs since starting the detox GAINED! what the hell!? Today I was back down a bit having only gained 3. But still GAINED WEIGHT! So i looked into some things, and apparently the fiber powder that I had been talking was 3x the dose of the other kind. which means i have SO Much fiber in my body. i hope im just bloated...just found a forum about it online:http://bit.ly/cuvOYJ it gives some pretty good answers.

anyway, ill keep you posted. pissed about my weight gain right now.

Detoxing continues...

Well everything is going well. Though I feel like I'm CONSTANTLY eating. going into day 3 and havent lost a single lb. great. But yesterday I was talking with a dear old friend from high school (and realized that was already 6 years ago...6!!!! wtf.) then I felt extremely old for a bit... saying as ill be 24 in a few weeks and 123 lbs. it keeps going up every year. its sad. She told me however, that she willed herself thinner. Willed. And it worked! Every day she would just tell herself in the mirror how good and thin she was. and eventually she lost weight. I am going to research this more. hahha and maybe give it a go. maybe my negative self talk is getting me no where. It's about 8-10 years of undoing that im undertaking here. but i can do it. now i just have to get out of bed...hrmmm

Liver Detox:Day One

After this weekend I definitely need the liver detox that I started today. uffdah. I spent saturday consuming as many calories as I normally would in about 3 days. ate both meals at a bar, and had about 5 beers and a shot of rum. what?! plus my last meal was at 11 at night! french fries, tater tots, grilled, grease you name it it went in my mouth.

so today i began a liver detox given to me by my moms nutritionist. I cant disclose the detox but i can tell you that i:
1) have to eat the same thing for 12 days
2) cant drink for 12 days (shouldnt be hard but soooo will be!)
3) have to drink a LOT of fibersure... :/
4) there are no carbs included.

so that being said, i have just completed day one. whew. it's said to help you lose 6-8 lbs of actual fat not just u know, water weight. i also went to yoga tonight even though i was sore from my elliptical (1hr) +weights and abs yesterday....i just keep telling myself...its worth it its worth it...

Sunburnt and Still Hungry

Today I spent the day on the beach, and came home the color of the tomato I had for dinner. However being outside in the sun all day has decreased my hunger by a ten fold. All I've had today is some oatmeal, apples, eggs and frozen mangos (a awesome snack when its hot out and your skin is radiating heat) I did try to drink a beer with my scrambled egg dinner however it just tasted awful. So that's good. I also went a brisk walk around the lake (ok ok it was only 30 min) before i plopped myself down in the sand.

So now, as I sit here, swollen from sun and full of mangos I cant help but wonder... what will i eat tomorrow? I have no "satisfying" food in the fridge... well that means no french fries or burgers. ugh
